Central Johannesburg College Requirements

In order to successfully apply to the Central Johannesburg TVET College, ensure that you are able to supply and attach the following documentations:

  • Proof of residence
  • A valid temporary residence permit for international students
  • A certified copy of your parent or guardian’s ID
  • Your latest academic results
  • Student certified ID

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

To enrol for any of the NC(V) qualifications at NQF Level 2, aspirants must:

  • Have a Grade 9 pass or a higher, OR
  • Have an NQF Level 1 qualification, OR
  • Have an approved bridging course in line with the desired field of study, OR

 go through a Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) assessment to meet the basic requirements for access to NQF Level 2 

To enrol for NQF Level 3, a student must have completed a relevant NQF Level 2.

PASS REQUIREMENTS

  • You must pass all SEVEN subjects to obtain the NC(V) qualification at a particular level and to progress to the next NQF Level.
  • The pass requirement for the four vocation subjects is 50% per subject
  • The pass requirements for the mandatory subjects are as follows:
    • Language/Communication 40%
    • Maths/Maths Literacy 30%
    • Life Orientation 40%

Foreign/international students will additionally need:

  • Certified copies of passport
  • SAQA approved foreign qualifications
  • Proof of medical insurance or cover
  • Valid study permit
